The Dinei Yisrael Course
*until further notice, this course is no longer being offered*
In Israel, attorneys who earned a law degree outside of Israel’s jurisdiction are considered “foreign attorneys.” Foreign attorneys wishing to become members of the Israel Bar Association must undergo rigorous requirements, including the passing of a series of nine exams, called the Dinei Yisrael Exams. The Israel Bar Association administers these exams twice a year - in January and August.
The Dinei Yisrael Course is especially designed for foreign attorneys to pass the Dinei Yisrael Exams. The subject matter of this course covers the following areas tested in the Dinei Yisrael Exams: (1) legal Hebrew, (2) obligations and labor law, (3) property law, (4) family law and inheritance, (5) criminal law, (6) commercial law, (7) tax law, (8) civil procedure and ethics, and (9) constitutional law. Attorneys will learn the material in small groups or one on one with the teacher, depending on the attorney’s preference. While attorneys will gain a solid understanding of the various laws of Israel, attorneys should note that it is almost impossible to master all these subjects in a short time. However, this course will enable attorneys to successfully tackle exam questions, even without fully mastering the entire legal subjects through various study techniques and tactics.
The Dinei Yisrael Course starts approximately one month before the start of the first of the nine exams. To receive further information and to register for this course please submit a registration form.
